I have personal issues with nylon collars that have the plastic snap closure, they break at the most in-opportune times.

I despise the retractable leashes for the following reasons:

• They teach the dog to pull.
• There is constant pressure on the dog's trachea because of the pulling,
• They break without warning
• Older people can't grasp the handle sufficiently to stop a dog from pulling it out of their hand.
