Online booking system

6/15/2022

We have just added our new reservation system so you can book with us online.

I have been wanting this system for years because my website program has a really terrible form for reservations.  So as I can with each module those forms will be removed from the website and you can just click the button
Reservations/Boarding/Grooming

Hinks & Bubbles

As we all know who have to deal with computers and software programs, nothing is ever 100% and there are issues that I will be addressing as they come up.  So I will be in touch, but don't fear, if you have completed a reservation with us online, it is solid.

Aeron takes the blame...again

Aeron and Winkie in Angel Mode

Last night the tank on the toilet wouldn't fill, same thing with the guest bath toilet.  Plus the sink in the guest bath wouldn't work.  I didn't think much of it, other than strange that, and decided to discuss it with hubs in the morning.

Zero Turn Monster Muncher on Wheels

This is what transpired:
Info to hubs, "Toilets and one sink aren't working."
Response, "I know, the hydrant in the orchard isn't working so I turned the water off when I finally found which shutoff to use."
I let it go, I was not planning on a trip to town today, but by then had been informed that a new hydrant and a shutoff valve had to be purchased. (When hydrant had been added to the orchard, the upstairs bath lines had been tapped into, without the aid of a shutoff valve on the line to that hydrant.)
Scenario as finally reported in passing.
Aeron left his toy fabric donut in the yard (his yard, his toy).  Instead of slowing down and using his grabber to move the toy, Hubs decided to mow over said fabric donut toy.  Result, 3" by 12" of cotton and canvus donut stuffing are now in the mower blades and the zero turn decides that is not gonna be acceptable.
In order to remove all the cotton and the canvas cover from the mower, both blades had to be removed.
To do this, he decided he had to lift the mower with the bucket on his tractor (boys and their toys).
He gets out the tractor, and in order to line up with where he parked the mower, he backed up he forgetting the bush hog was on the back of the tractor, so he backs over the hydrant in the orchard.  Tractor vs hydrant, hydrant is the looser.

Water flowed freely for quite a while while hubs was in the basement turning valves off and on again until he got the one that stopped the fountain in the orchard.

Random Thoughts, Random Deeds

To the End of June

What a month this has been, even wishing on a star along with deliberate, deep prayers have not made things easy.

Needing a Live in Apprentice

Have a position to train a dog trainer/kennel manager.

Finding that has been totally unrealer than even I anticipated.  Yep, "unrealer" was deliberate.

Billings and I don't mean Montana

All advertising websites are now charging.  I really don't have a  problem with that, because I expected it to happen ten years ago.

However, I am having to pay a fee to receive Resume's that in no way have any qualifications to fill the position I listed.  And resume's that are so poorly drafted you can't dig enough to qualify the individual, because the information just isn't there.

A little hint to applicants:
I don't know what has happened over the past seven years, when I used to be responsible for the hiring and unfortunately firing at an international corporation.

But people you have got to qualify your responses.

If you list a company you worked for, also list where and when that was.  The immediate superior would also be helpful.

If you list something you claim to have experience with, again list when, where and for how long.  Qualify the response.

You have to qualify your answers, otherwise instead of the ole "file 13" that I used to use, now the Resume' earns the delete button.  The persons trying to hire are overloaded with requests.  No one is going to take the time to figure out if you are for real or not.

One applicant who qualified absolutely nothing on his Resume' wrote and asked me how I could reject him before seeing him face to face.

I took that one to heart, and sent him a lengthy reply about the things that needed tuned up in his resume'.  The problems were massive.

After explaining and recommending corrections to each failed step, I closed by asking him to make a bunch of notes about his life accomplishments and go see Linda at Linda's Secretarial Service to draft him a much better resume' to use.

I was most sincere about my responses, because I want everyone out there who really wants to work to be successful.

The nonprofit we are affiliated with is CrittersWork Service Dog Partners, Inc.

Through this organization, our volunteers locate and train service dogs.

We have been blessed recently by an association with Tennessee Community Assistance Corporation who are providing AmeriCorps volunteers to CrittersWork.  To us, this is so fantastic, as we are now able to press forward with our service dog training efforts.

Stay Tuned!
