WHY USE A BOARDING KENNEL DEDICATION... We are totally dedicated to the leisure, entertainment, and care of your pet. Pet Care is what we do, Pet Care is our business, and Pet Care is our lives. We intentionally designed our kennels to be extremely spacious indoors and out which guarantees your pets ability to exercise at his/her leisure. Except for inclement weather days, your dog is allowed protected independant access to both the indoor and outdoor portions of his/her suite during daylight hours. In addition, several times throughout the day and evening, your pet is also allowed to exercise in our spacious yards where the company of other like sized furkids can be enjoyed if you wish. They love it, they love our routine, and they have a barking good time encouraging us to hurry a little faster when it is playtime or mealtime. Ask your dog whether he/she would rather be in a cage in some office, or an indoor only facility with no playtime, or have the luxary of a 60 square foot private indoor/outdoor suite and a 2,500 square foot playground. We know what the answer is, because our clients dogs drag their owners into our building, many set up a whine session when they figure out they are headed to our kennel, and some are even reluctant to go home when their stay has ended, because it means leaving their old and newfound friends. It all makes us feel great that we are so appreciated by our little furkids. ARRIVAL DAY PLEASE... allow enough time to check in. Our pets, especially dogs are very sensitive to our moods and feelings. If you arrive rushed or worried about catching a plane, your dog will arrive at camp agitated and concerned. Emotional farewells are also very difficult for dogs and make them feel upset and worried. For your pet this is no different than dropping your child off at daycare. Really, once you have left they are off to business as usual to see what excitement they can generate for their day. Some dogs even try to take off to the kennels while Mom & Dad are trying to say goodbye. DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG OR GIVE MORE THAN SMALL QUANTITIES OF WATER FOR AT LEAST 4 HOURS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL TIME. We cannot over-state how important this is. Boarding is a wonderful, and exciting experience for dogs, and they can get diarrhea, nausea, or worse if they have just eaten.
DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG OR GIVE MORE THAN VERY SMALL QUANTITIES OF WATER FOR AT LEAST 4 HOURS AFTER PICK-UP. Your dog will be very excited and happy to see you. He/she may gulp their food or water, and this can cause digestive problems ranging from diarrhea or nausea to life-threatening conditions. Don’t be surprised if your dog sleeps a lot the first day or two back at home. The home environment is very quiet and calm after the excitement of boarding, and this sleepiness is quite common and normal. |
