reinforcing successive approximations of it; 2.) Breaking down the
training objective or target into more manageable and easily learned parts
Haven't we all dreamed of
a weekend retreat with our dog in the companionship of like minded
individuals? If so, here is your opportunity to spend three days
enjoying the companionship of your dog while at the same time you will
both be learning a new skill of shaping behaviors.
Your dog will begin to
offer behaviors more freely, while you perfect your shaping skills.
All of this will happen with the companionship of other positive dog
trainers. What? You are not a trainer? Doesn't matter,
come one come all, and we will all bring something to the plan.
This Shaping Camp has
been created and conducted by Certified Trainer/author Kat Rollins and has
been purposely designed for the novice-to-experienced shaper with plenty
of opportunity and encouragement to pursue your own training goals.
We will practice basic
and free shaping exercises; targeting, work on those important good
manners behaviors, play with tricks, and start retrieve sequences.
You will learn how to shape your dog to perform behaviors such as go to
his place, put his toys away, crawl, and
others as requested.
