Ballistic Bowser Camp for Dog Reactive Dogs
For Dog-Reactive Dogs | |
|
I am convinced that dog people own dogs primarily for companionship. Dog owning can also lead to establishing relationships with others. A good dog can help to fulfill us in very positive gentle ways. It is said the ownership of pets and especially dogs actually helps us to live longer. Well, maybe not always, if you are one of those who are living with the stress of a dog who is reactive to other dogs. There are probably times when you are convinced that stress is going to shorten your life. It's a lot of work to live with a dog you can't trust to not react with aggressive display behavior in the presence of other dogs. After all, you got the dog so you could do things that would involve your dog. If you’re afraid or embarrassed to take "wonder pooch" on your outings because of his horrible behavior displays, Ballistic Bowser Camp could be the solution to your problems. ![]() This camp involves only dogs who have known dog to dog aggression issues. You will learn what is going on with the dog and practice how to counter condition the behavior, while in the presence of others with the same problems. We will install a conditioned emotional response and practice sub-threshold counter conditioning. You will learn calming and management techniques along with emergency escape exercises. We will practice and work with the group of dog/handler teams first in a large security fenced area, later moving to more open areas. We will also on the last day trek through open fields and forest, as your dog learns to accept other dogs at a safe distance. ![]() This three-day program, taught by Kat Rollins, Master Trainer and Consultant, will help you not only learn to manage your dog better in public, but you will also develop a relationship with others in the class for a lasting support group you can continue to network with following the Camp. There will be a Maximum of 6 dogs per camp No people-aggressive dogs will be allowed at this camp. Kat's K9 Cadets Dog & Puppy Training is located 12 miles south of I-81 at exit 36. A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at time of reservation with the balance due 14 days prior to camp. If the balance is not received before 14 days prior to the camp, your deposit is lost and your space will be given to someone else. | |
NOTE: Lodging may be available at Kennel Lane House, right on campus. |
